A. Nicholas Adams (Nic) Bennett, 39, of Manhattan, passed away on Friday, August 25th, in Washington County, KS, due to a pickup accident. He worked for Nelson's Poultry Farm in their maintenance department.
Nick was born in Globe, Arizona, on April 8, 1984, the son of Earl Leslie Bennett of Duncan, OK, and Catherine Ann (Bradford) Bennett of Manhattan. Nick was a graduate of Herington High School in Herington, KS. He had obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and was in the process of pursuing his Masters at the University of Phoenix.
Nick is survived by a daughter, Isabella Adams-Bennett, of Manhattan, and a son, Kai Bennett, of Herington. He is also survived by four sisters: Lacey Bennett of Duncan, OK; Presley Bennett of Duncan, OK; Brianna Swindler of AZ; and Krystal Montano of AZ. Furthermore, he leaves behind a brother, Anthony (Josephine) Bennett of Plano, TX, as well as his stepmother, Carrie Bennett of Duncan, OK, along with her children—two step-sisters and one step-brother.
A "Service of Remembrance" will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 1st, at Carlson's Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation in Manhattan, with Pastor Lewis O. Smith, Sr. officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in Nick's honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
