A Junction City man charged with child sex crimes appeared in Riley County District Court via Zoom Tuesday afternoon.
Judge William Malcolm set an attorney status conference on Sept. 26 for David Hearlson, 37, which could result in a plea agreement.Police arrested Hearlson at noon on Aug. 29 for crimes between March and May of 2019.
Hearlson is charged with three counts of rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Officers also arrested him for one count each of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent solicitation of a child and criminal threat.Law enforcement said Hearlson knows the victim.
Hearlson is held at Riley County jail on $200,000 bond.
